Last Halloween we set our little pumpkin out on the back porch planter so the squirrels (or whatever creatures are back there) could eat it, instead of just tossing it. I let the pumpkin sit over the winter and some of the seeds ended up in the dirt. Much to my surprise, one of them sprouted. Our planter is too small for a pumpkin plant so I’m not sure what I’ll do, but it’s still growing out there. How cool!
